Oh Hi Again: My Christmas Wishlist

Will I ever stay on top of blogging? Probably not.... hehe.

I am officially on my Christmas Break (along with everyone and their mother) and I am doing nothing but being lazy. Isn't that what you're supposed to do???

Starting Thursday I have a Christmas gathering everyday until the 25th. But, I probably am the number one lover of those gosh darn family gatherings. I do love my family...

Aaaand also, how can I not mention the fact that I am going to the Music City bowl?!? I, along with the Waterer's, went to the Gator Bowl last year and it was so so so much fun! I can't wait until we leave on the 29th.
- I do want to give a little wedding shout-out to Miss Amanda Harden (soon to be Mrs.) I so wish I was going to your wedding! I know that you are going to be so beautiful and I know it will be a blast!

Anyway, here is a little snip it of my Christmas Wish List:

I hope you ALL have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Amendment 26

For weeks now I have been debating on whether my choice should be yes, or no.

When all of this talk about banning abortion and the underlying facts started coming out, I totally was the one who said NO to this amendment. I thought it was a huge misunderstanding and it honestly made me mad to think about all of the facts it held that most people didn't even know about. I would drive around my hometown of Tupelo, and see all of these signs saying YES to Amendment 26. I then did research on it and found most of its negative issues.

Take a look and read this article to see why I was NOT for it...

So there. I was stuck on this horrible idea.

Well then, weeks later I started to think about it more. I wondered if what I was standing for was right. Because, after all, I AM pro-life. However, I just didn't want to support this because of the bad "rumors" I had heard about it. So after researching more, and reading other blogs
about it, I have come to the decision of voting yes to Amendment 26. Let me explain.

Life begins at fertilization, conception, or whatever you prefer. What is being created is not a body part, an organ, or a freaking animal. It is a human being. This is how YOU were made. Your body develops from the time you were born, until the time that you die. It is an ongoing process.

You may not agree with me, but I feel that it is necessary to share this just because I was fooled.

Here are some of the issues that most people hear about that could be misleading...

1. Will Amendment 26 outlaw contraceptives? No. It will NOT ban the use of hormonal contraceptives, including most forms of the "pill". It will ban, however, drugs such as RU486, which allow a baby to be conceived and then expelled. Mainly birth control that causes you to have a miscarriage. http://yeson26.net/latest-news/planned-parenthood-caught/

2. Will Amendment 26 end in-vitro fertilization? No. It will ban allowing un-used embryos to be destroyed.

3. Will Amendment 26 result in the criminal prosecution of a woman who suffers from miscarriage? No. Personhood USA will not make it a crime if a woman miscarries.

4. What about rape or incest? This amendment will prevent a conceived baby from being executed for the crime. The baby is a victim just like the mother, but it is not the baby's fault for what has happened. Women who have had babies because of rape have testified that the baby is a blessing to them. The option of adoption still remains open.

I know that some of you will vote no, and that's okay, but I just encourage you to really think about your decision. Do your research, because I know how word of mouth can sway your opinion.

What will you choose on November 8th??

I will leave you with some scripture...

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations." Jeremiah 1:5

FINALLY

There is actually a product (that you can find at Wal-Mart) under $3.00 that I am obsessed with. Freeman's cucumber peel-off mask. It is cheap, and I can promise you it wouldn't hurt for you to go out and buy it now. I have been using it for a few weeks now...and I can't tell you a negative thing about it. You literally peel it off, which actually makes me feel like I am peeling away the nasty awful impurities in my skin.

And now I'm stopping because I sound like I am writing a review on this darn thing.

Welcome Back & Fabulous Finds

So sorry for the time off I have given myself from blogging. Between finishing summer school and DG rush, I have been busy and haven't been able to sit down and blog away.

Recruitment week went FABULOUS! I love every single girl in that chapter. They all have a special little place in my heart...What I would do without them...Who knows. We got some great girls this year who I am very proud of!

Living in the house has also not been so bad. I actually am growing to love it, and I adore my roommates :)

Andddd on to something else. So I was digging through Forever21's website and found some awesome hidden gems. I have a love/hate relationship with these types of stores. Some days you find great deals on cute items....others it is literally like you are digging through trash. Well today, I found these accessories that I miiiiight just have to buy for myself. Because everyone knows I love a good statement necklace.

And a few earrings...

It's the WEEKEND!!!!!! Have a good one!

I've got to get my research paper DONE tonight. Yep.

It also means....Happy 4th of July! I love this time of year. It is such a family-oriented holiday to be together and celebraaaaate. I will be spending it with the Waterer's and the rest of their family. I hope everyone has a spectacular time and remember to be safe!

I love these sparklers made from pipe cleaners!

I also wanted to say a huge congratulations to my friend Fenly Akers. If you didn't watch Miss Mississippi tonight, you missed out. Everyone did so great, but I just had to give a little shoutout to her! I'm so proud!!! Isn't she just plain beautiful??

Happy (20) Birthday!

Last night a group of us celebrated one of my good friends, Hester Lowe's, birthday. It was at her house and we just sat outside around her pool, hanging out, and just enjoying life. It was so much fun and I saw a few people that I hadn't seen in a long time. After going off to college, I miss my high school friends so much...so I love it when we can all get together! Anyway, I just wanted to say a BIG Happy Birthday to her!!!!

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Peace

Blog names are supposed to be short, sweet, and to the point. Right? However, the idea of my favorite bible verse doesn't quuuuite fit as a blog title. But that doesn't mean that I'm not going to use it. SO, here it is guys.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. - John 14:27

Lately

Y'all...my blog was in dire need of a new face, bless it's heart.

Well, So far my summer has consisted of being at home with my family (which I love), working part-time (some days), and just hanging around the good ole town of Tupelo. Yes, it does get boring at times, but honestly, I love love love being at home. There is just something so comforting about being at your own house rather than my apartment in Starkville. I guess you could call it some sort of homesick-ness? Whatever. But soon, I will be movinggggg back to Starkville to start summer school for July.

#mixedfeelings

Anyway, Here are some of my favorite things right now:

Only $10.50!

I'm kind of in love with chevron prints right now. This is actually a wedding cake, but I think it is super cute. You could probably even make a smaller one for any occasion!

Have a splendid week everyone!
